The Heart Behind The Chronicles

When my own journey as a caregiver began, I quickly realized that the path of dementia care is one often traveled in silence. It's a journey marked by profound love, but also by deep exhaustion and the feeling of being invisible to the world outside.

I created The Dementia Chronicles so that no caregiver has to navigate this alone. My goal is to transform personal experience into shared strength, providing the resources and empathy I once searched for. Here, your struggles are seen, your devotion is heard, and your story matters.

I See You. I Hear You. Your Journey Matters to Me.

My caregiving journey started seven years ago when my mom asked me to move in and help with my dad, who had mixed dementia (more than one type).

Even though I had a difficult relationship with both of my parents and tended to keep my distance, I didn't hesitate to say yes.

I learned quickly that dementia caregiving is nothing like what people imagine. It's messier. Lonelier. More exhausting. And nobody talks about the hard parts—the guilt over feeling angry, the resentment when family doesn't help, the relief when it's finally over.

After Dad passed, I thought caregiving was behind me. But now I'm caring for my mother, navigating a whole new set of challenges.

I created The Dementia Chronicles to write about the stuff nobody else will say out loud. The uncomfortable truths. The complicated emotions. The permission you need to be human while you're caregiving.

If you're drowning in the invisible work, feeling guilty for emotions you can't control, or wondering if you're failing—you're not alone. I see you. I hear you. And you're doing better than you think.
